Picture yourself in a boat on a river,
With tangerine trees and marmalade skies.
Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly,
A girl with kaleidoscope eyes.
Cellophane flowers of yellow and green,
Towering over your head.
Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes,
And she's gone.
Lucy in the sky with diamonds,
Lucy in the sky with diamonds,
Lucy in the sky with diamonds,
Ah... Ah...
Follow her down to a bridge by a fountain,
Where rocking horse people eat marshmallow pies.
Everyone smiles as you drift past the flowers,
That grow so incredibly high.
Newspaper taxis appear on the shore,
Waiting to take you away.
Climb in the back with your head in the clouds,
And you're gone.
Picture yourself on a train in a station,
With plasticine porters with looking glass ties.
Suddenly someone is there at the turnstile,
The girl with kaleidoscope eyes.

childrens books
our new project is to enter a competition, i've chosen to do the macmillen childrens picture book award.
this is my collection of childrens books...it is a growing collection
printing
my original idea was to screen print all the images and letter press all the text, hence why all the images are in black-ready for 2 colour screen print.....that was until i realised how ambitious that was/ how long it would take/how much it would cost..and that fact you have to book in at least 2weeks in advance to use the screen print rooms
i managed to letter press 4 pages of text, but then had to change the way i am going to print it, and instead use risograph...however the maximum size you can print is A3, my book was intended to be A4+A4 portrait (aka to big) so i've had to resize all the images to A5 each page......
.....more to come with the printing

over 8,000 objects orbit earth

i'm really pleased with this image, as it was one of my first proper attempts at using photoshop, another thing this project has taught me is how to use indesign-which is amazing, very clever!
